What we are

Pipsyvale is a small, independent guide to video games for players in the UK. We choose games with a world worth visiting, play them properly and write one honest review for each, then send you to the game’s official home.

Why a quick-select ring

Choosing a game should feel like choosing a tool in one: a short pause, a clear view of the options, then back to your evening. Laying our picks out as a ring is our way of keeping that choice calm, quick and well informed.

The people

A small group of long-time players and reviewers, joined by friends who help us test accessibility options, co-op and family play. Nobody on the team reviews a game they have not played.

Money

There is none moving through this site. No advertising, no affiliate offers, no sponsored posts and nothing for sale. We host no games, run no accounts and take no payments, so no company has a reason to buy our attention.

Conflicts of interest

If one of us has a personal or professional link to a game, someone else reviews it and we say so on the page. We accept no gifts in exchange for coverage.

The covers

Every cover was made for us, each one following the art style of its own game, from ink and gold leaf to voxels and cel shading. None of it is official art, a screenshot or promotional material, and no real people are shown.

Written for UK players

Plain English, British spelling, no pop-ups, no autoplay and no tracking. Prices and age ratings are left to the official sites, which keep them current.
